Attendees at Ole Man River PETS earlier this month were inspired by Rotary Foundation Chair-Elect Mark Maloney’s enthusiasm for our foundation. He gave “Magical Markers” for both club and district support of The Foundation, to help us increase Rotary’s Endowment to $2.025 billion by the year 2025.

For districts, he suggested:

1. District leaders show the way by contributing to the Annual Fund by August 31st, and to the Endowment by December 31st;
2. Increase Rotary Direct donors by 10%;
3. Establish or grow your PolioPlus Society to at least 50 members;
4. Add at least 10 new donors to the Paul Harris Society and remind existing donors of their commitments;
5. Host a “legacy” or “Million Dollar” event to increase giving to the Endowment.

…and for clubs, he suggested:

1. Presidents lead by example and contribute to the Annual Fund by August 31st, and to the Endowment by December 31st;
2. Add 5 new Rotary Direct donors;
3. Add 5 new PolioPlus Society members;
4. Add 5 new Paul Harris Society members and remind existing donors of their commitments;
